IMDEA Materials awarded two new Airbus R&D contracts

IMDEA Materials Institute has been awarded two new R&D contracts by Airbus Operations. The first one (ECURE) is focused on developing electrically-curable epoxy resins for bonding and repairing composite materials. The second project (NONCIRC) aims at assessing the potential of using non-circular carbon fibres in composite materials to improve their mechanical properties, thus, decrease the weight of the aircraft structures.
